Thank You!

September 16th, 2009

Friends and Supporters,

My sincerest appreciation and thanks goes out to everyone who dedicated their time and energy to my campaign over the past few months. We couldn’t have done it without each of you.

I’d also like to congratulate our opponents for their hard-fought campaigns. Despite our disagreements on policy, these individuals were doing their best to make a difference, which is a quality we should all admire in the course of public service.

Our campaign was successful in moving the discussion in this election in the right direction. We sent a clear message to the career politicians in Tallahassee: If they want to keep their jobs, they’ll need to campaign and govern as true conservatives.

I sincerely believe that Florida’s best days are ahead of us. I believe we can turn this state around. And now, more than ever, we must keep fighting against high taxes and wasteful spending, working with groups like Americans for Prosperity and The Leadership Institute, and to stand up in defense of our conservative values and principles.

As we move forward, I ask each of you to join me in each of those causes. We may not have won this election, but we can still win the battle for Florida’s future.

Sincerely,

Dan Quiggle

Leading Christian Leader John Stemberger Endorses Dan Quiggle

September 8th, 2009

This morning, John Stemberger, a leading Conservative Christian activist in Florida announced his endorsement of Dan Quiggle for the open Senate seat vacated by long time Senator Jim King.

Stemberger, best know for his leadership in passing the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment released this statement:

“I am very proud to endorse Dan Quiggle for State Senate District 8. Dan is a dynamic leader and represents the future of the Republican Party in Florida. Dan Quiggle is the only principled social conservative in this race that I know and trust and I give him my unqualified endorsement. Dan also was the only candidate in this race that took a leadership role in helping to pass the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment by holding a fundraiser in his home.

Even though I consider Dan a friend, I was going to stay out the race. But when I learned that Dan’s opponent John Thrasher took money from the gambling industry; that he personally lobbies for gaming interests and that his campaign spokesperson works for the gambling industry, that was enough for me to come out and publicly declare Dan Quiggle as the clear choice for conservative pro-family republicans.”
